Pros:  Nuclear Power generation is one of the most efficient, clean, and reliable energy sources that we utilize today. In 2014, U.S. nuclear power plants were performing at 92% capacity, whereas fossil fuels are only around ~50%. Alongside this nuclear power plants don't emit greenhouse gases will help steer us away from global warming. Finally, after the initial construction, the operating costs are low in nuclear power plants, which makes them a good investment for the future in many ways.

Cons:  Nuclear Power generations biggest problem is the storage of nuclear waste. The byproducts produced  in these plants are extremely radioactive, and can continue to be so for many years. So far the best solution we have is to turn the liquid waste into glass, store it in containers or concrete, and then bury it deep in the earth. Storing waste is already a hard enough problem, but what's more dangerous about these plants is the chance that an accident happens and the radioactive components can't be contained. Accidents like Chernobyl and 3.11 are notable examples of what happens when things go wrong. Not to mention that the resources are finite, and we will run out eventually. We will need to store the waste for many years to come, possibly even after we have stopped using nuclear power.
